Counselling, Coaching, IEMT (& Fees)

Counselling

Counselling often helps you gain a better understanding of your past and present conflicts, to recognise, appreciate and use your own resources, and to be able to consider new possibilities for dealing with difficult situations.

This may involve clarifying choices and opportunities for bringing about positive change; or alternatively it may help you come to terms with those aspects of your life that you are unable - or do not wish to change.

Counselling can help you evaluate the thoughts and beliefs you may have that might be counter productive, or even destructive in your life.

  • Adjusting to new job or way of life
  • Having difficulty with relationships
  • Work related difficulties
  • Having difficulty coping with stress
  • Anxiety State
  • Pessimistic thoughts
  • Upsetting memories
  • Post Traumatic Stress
  • Depressed mood / fatigue / unwillingness
  • Grief & Loss

I work with an underpinning internal control psychology which focuses on the current issues and conflicts affecting a person seeking help, encouraging that person, through therapy, to change any behaviour/beliefs that may prevent him or her from finding a solution to those issues.

I believe that when a person in therapy can incorporate the behaviours, ideas, and methods developed through that therapy in his or her life successfully, they will often be able to improve their relationships, and experience a more fulfilling life. I also offer Integral Eye Movement Therapy sessions as an option.

Integral Eye Movement Therapy

IEMT is a form of therapy that has had dramatic positive results for people with traumatic life experiences.
If you have had a trauma in your past and feel you can not get over, or that it stops you from moving forward, IEMT might help it more quickly.

Sessions can be specifically for IEMT (stand-alone), or integrated into counselling, coaching & psychotherapy sessions.

IEMT can also be used 'content free' so you do not have to discuss what the trauma was if you feel you cannot talk about it.

Choice Theory & Reality Therapy

We subscribe to the 'ethos' that Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management guide and support our relationships both on a personal and professional basis, and that Reality Therapy should be taught with integrity and adherence to fundamental concepts as describe by Dr. William Glasser and others who write, teach those ideas.
